The verb “to make” or “to do”
Introduction
« Tu es occupé samedi ?»
“Are you busy Saturday ?”
« Oui, je fais du sport. Ensuite, avec ma famille, nous faisons une promenade. »
“Yes, I’m doing sports. And then we’re going trekking”.
Utilisation
There are various uses of the verb « faire » (to make / to do). It is often used in 2 different ways:
- créer, produire, fabriquer : Ils font des pizzas excellentes !
- creating/ producing/ manufacturing : They make excellent pizzas !
- avoir une activité : Je fais un jeu avec mes enfants.
- Having an activity : I am playing a game with my children
